Educational Programs:
The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is dedicated to serving the community by providing learning experiences about the fascinating wonders of Florida's wildlife and natural ecosystems. The Sanctuary's educational exhibits, wildlife presentations, and guided nature tours are ideal for schools, special interest groups, scouts, community and civic organizations, clubs, and summer camps. Presentations can be adapted to fit the needs of each individual group and are available on an outreach basis, or at the Sanctuary's new environmental learning center in Jupiter.
Children and adults alike find the Sanctuary's programs to be informative, entertaining, and extremely educational. Because real live animals are used as our visual aids and teaching tools, these programs and field trips are uniquely valuable and offer a wonderful experience in learning about nature. The live animals used in our programs range from the majestic Bald Eagle to the rare Florida Panther, as well as the American Alligator, Indigo Snake, Grey Fox, Great Horned Owl, Red-Tailed Hawk, and many others.
Sanctuary Hosts Free Nature Story Time!
The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is more than just a place to see animals, it's a real wildlife adventure! Every Wednesday at 10:30am join Brenda Nickolaus and some of our special animals for storytime geared for young children in our Cypress Amphitheater. Story time offers young children a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn about Florida's wildlife and natural environments. Afterward, visitors are invited to tour the Sanctuary’s nature trails where they will encounter a variety of native animals from eagles to panthers, crocodiles, foxes, snakes, and more.
